You want to grow, but we have seen big churches become isolated from the congregation and all we hear is “send more money!” What is your philosophy on getting bigger?
- We have a good sized campus and we can accommodate about 200-250 max in our sanctuary and education building at one time. We don’t plan on adding space. We also don’t mind time-sharing the space we do have at least temporarily.
- Our plan is to grow to about 150 to 200 people. By this time we will be holding two worship services and two Sunday School and small group sessions. At this point, we will identify leaders and people who are willing and able to operate on their own as an independent church. Preparing them to do so will be a major church priority. When there is consensus, we will give them the financial resources to start a new church. Our goal would be to have a group of about 75-100 who are ready to do this. Once we have commissioned the new church, we both will begin the process of growing again.
