Our Logo

SEC’s logo is a compass rose superimposed on an outline of the state of South Carolina.  The southeast point of the rose touches the South Carolina outline at our location on the southeast edge of the capital city, Columbia.

A compass is an instrument for finding direction.  For a traveler, the compass points to North.  For the Christian, our moral compass points to God’s Word, the Bible.  The cross on the gold shield at the center of the rose represents the sacrifice of Christ on our behalf.  The different colors of the rose represent nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues that God’s Word will reach –

After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!" (Rev 7:9-10 NKJ)

Our church is open to all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues.  Anyone who is already a believer in Christ, or genuinely interested in learning about the claims of Christ, is welcome.
